5 Must Have Autumnal Lipsticks | Beauty

5 Must Have Autumnal Lipsticks - L-R: MAC Media, MAC Amorous, NYX 565, NYX Liquid Suede - Soft Spoken, Gerard Cosmetics - 1995
Burgundy is my favourite colour ever. I am so glad it's now Autumn because I feel like it is totally acceptable to wear burgundy almost every day and not get judged for it. I am a huge lover of pink lipsticks although at this time of the year I definitely prefer to wear some darker colours on my lips. I've rounded up my top 5 lipsticks for Autumn and the ones I'll probably be wearing the most!

L-R: MAC Media, MAC Amorous, NYX 565
I've been in this crazy hype of liquid lipsticks for so long that I almost forgot what it was like wearing a normal lipstick again! I was definitely pleasantly surprised and soon reminded about how nice on the lips these feel. I purchased MAC Media (£15.50) last year, I wrote a blog post about it here. It's a gorgeous dark plum (reddish/purple) colour although I felt it was almost too dark to wear a lot of the time so I pushed it aside, however, I'm determined to be brave and wear it a lot more this year! My second lipstick is MAC Amorous (£15.50) which was actually a present from my mum and I'd completely forgotten about it! The photo above does make it look slightly pinker than it is, it's more of a cranberry pink colour which I'm loving at the moment. My third lipstick is a recent purchase of mine, NYX 565 (£4.00) looking on the website I managed to pick up the only lipstick in the range without a name, just a number! It's possibly one of the most moisturising lipsticks that I've ever owned! It's unbelievably creamy which makes it a dream to apply. I would call this colour a muted berry with brown undertones.

Front-Back: NYX Liquid Suede - Soft Spoken, Gerard Cosmetics - 1995
Of course! You didn't think I'd let you get to the end of this post without including 2 liquid lipsticks, did you?! These are two of my favourites which I've most definitely been reaching for the most. NYX Liquid Suedes are just amazing! I wrote another post about them here. So moisturising and comfortable to wear. It's described as a 'mauve nude' but I can definitely see some berry/burgundy tones in there! Next is basically a dupe! If you've read my Beauty Bay post here you'll know how much I have been loving the Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipsticks! They're by far my favourite liquid lipsticks to wear and now I have found 1995 its the perfect shade for this time of year.

I've included two swatch photos as I thought it shows the colours off to their best. Also because I swatched them on my hand when I was deciding on colours and took this shot which I was surprisingly pleased with! Maybe the colours don't look as similar as I expected them too when putting altogether although I feel they are perfect for this time of the year. All of these colours are so buildable allowing you to make them a lot darker or a lot lighter depending on how much you decide to apply.

Have you got any lipstick shades you'll be wearing over and over again during Autumn?

Justin Bieber Purpose Tour Experience | Day In The Life

Photo credit to Amy Leighton (stood right next to me at the concert!)

Right now I would most definitely say I'm suffering from PCD (Post-concert depression). Monday night I got the chance to see Justin Bieber live for the first time on his Purpose world tour. I'd probably go as far as saying it was one of the best nights of my life. It feels like an absolute dream to have gone, I just wish I could go back to that night over and over again. It was truly amazing.

Thousands of phone screens! Photo credit to Amy Leighton
I have supported Justin for about 8 years (had to work that out with counting on my fingers and counting back the years!) and I am just so overwhelmed that I finally got to see him live and perform. It was everything that I had been hoping for and more. It was such a special time for me and I don't think I'll ever forget that night. It means so much to me, not sure how much my friends really think it does!

Proud that I managed to take this, even if it is zoomed slightly!
We queued for around 4 hours for standing, it was so worth it! The best part was watching the queue get bigger and bigger! Although not so great when some people queue jumped and broke down the barriers, so unfair on us and other people who had been waiting in line for so much longer! Once we got inside we had a perfectly good view of the stage. Unfortunately, I'm a little short so spent most of the night on my tiptoes and looking through phone screens!

Big screens are the best thing ever!
I was so unbelievably happy when I managed to get tickets last year, even then I don't think it ever really sunk in that I was going to see him perform! He really does put on an amazing show, as for singing live, truly out of this world. Of course acoustics of him and his guitar are always my favourite as that's where it all began. I have to say I was really upset to see how tired and exhausted he looked. It really took me back to the days of the Believe tour when we were all tweeting him to take some time out and have some rest. I can't imagine how hard and stressful it must be to be touring and performing all the time being so far from home and missing family like that. You've got to give him so much credit for that.

The dancers were absolutely amazing, they performance was out of this world! Photo credit to Amy Leighton
An ultimate favourite of mine has got to be when he did a good old throwback of "Who wants to be my baby?" with the classic Justin smirk! I can safely say I felt myself die inside with excitement. Being the happiest I've been in quite a while! I'm out of words really to explain it other than repeating myself with amazing and unbelievable!

The Bieber Squad
Overall it was one the best experiences of my life and I would do anything to be there again. I can't wait for the next tour! Thank you, Justin, for all that you've done.

Have you been to any concerts recently, what's been your favourite?

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Range | Review

As you can see from my photos, these products have been very well loved. For the past few months in fact. It all started as I was walking past the aisle in Boots looking for a new face wash when I spotted the Charcoal Facial Mask and thought I'd give it ago. Boots had an offer of buy one get one free on this range so I bought the Blemish stick too! Soon finding myself back there again buying the Spot Wand and the Night Treatment Gel. I've been loving these products so much, I was so pleasantly surprised that I just had to share them and especially at such an affordable price for each product.

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Night Treatment Gel £2.99
I am probably most pleasantly surprised at this product. I picked it up super quickly as I was running back to the till because I hadn't noticed the BOGOF promotion! It's now one of my favourite products that are built into my night time skincare routine. It claims to 'work intensively while you sleep, fight spot-causing bacteria as well as lightly moisturising your skin without blocking pores'. I can promise you that it simply and amazingly does all of that! I smooth it all over my face before bed and it gently soaks into your skin. It can often leave a very wet feeling which I thought I was going to hate but I haven't found that it actually bothers me so that's a success so far! I am unbelievably happy with the results.

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Intense Deep Cleanse Facial Mask (with active Charcoal) £3.59
I had great results straight away from the charcoal mask, unbelievably smooth skin. I previously mentioned this in a favourites post here. I have been using it about once a week on an evening usually on one of the days that I feel my skin just isn't looking or feeling its best. The application is very simple, all you have to do is smooth it over your face, leave it for 15 minutes and then wash off! From this, I always find that the following morning my skin is much softer and reduces the appearance of any blemishes so definitely a winner here!

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Blemish Stick £2.59
I'm unsure whether this product is really great or just great. I say that because the first few times I used it I thought it did amazing things for my skin when applied a few times in the day leading me to think it was a new holy grail product but since then I'm unsure whether it's really been that successful. I feel like it's one of those now and again products to use rather than a daily basis. It definitely does mattify the area of the blemish as well as calming and clearing your skin.

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Spot Wand £3.59
This is my little saviour! Using it to my full advantage most days. I love the fact it has different sections for day and night. Simply apply it to the blemish and there you go! Nothing more to it than that! Great results every time, definitely going to have to buy a new one soon.

I was initially unsure about trying Boots' own range of products however I have definitely been taking a back, definitely, don't knock it until you've tried it! Boots currently have their Tea Tree & Witch Hazel on a 3 for 2 promotion which is definitely worth checking out, I'm most definitely going to be making a re-purchase of all these products very soon. I also hope to be picking up more new products to add to my collection!

Have you ever tried any products from this range and recommended it?

Beauty Bay Haul | Beauty

Here we are again with another haul! Looking at my blog it looks like I've been on a huge spending spree but would you believe I've been collecting and saving for many months and finally only just uploading and putting together these blog posts so I apologise if these seem a little late or repetitive.  In my Beauty Bay haul I picked up 8/9 Makeup Geek Eyeshadows, 2 Gerard Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks, Anastasia Beverly Hills sharpener (just because I had to spend £2 more for super speedy delivery so why not!) & Eyeko Liquid Liner (Free).

L-R: (Top Row) Taupe Notch, Twilight, Prom Night, Shimma Shimma, Sensuous. (Bottom Row) Unexpected, Petal Pusher, Confection & Confection
Makeup Geek Eyeshadows £5.50
After awhile of looking and longing for makeup geek eye shadows I've joined the hype! However, I can't totally be converted across to a z-palette. I love how organised and presentable the Mac palettes look. The prices of makeup geek eye shadows are at least half the price of Mac eye shadows with such good quality as well.

I spent so long reading several blog posts and looking at so many swatch photos to decide which ones I should buy. I originally thought about only buying a few although I wanted to start building a collection and having colours which I could use in several different ways to create multiple looks. I finally decided on ordering 8 shades, hard decision though and could've ordered plenty more! I chose; Prom Night, Sensuous, Confection, Petal Pusher, Twilight, Taupe Notch, Unexpected & Shimma Shimma. However when my order arrived I had two Confection pans and no petal pusher however I got in touch with Beauty Bay on Twitter and they were extremely helpful and sent it out to me the next day as well as letting me keep the 2nd Confection pan because of the inconvenience caused which was very kind of them!

L-R: Cher & 1995
Gerard Cosmetics £10.50
I am in love with these liquid lipsticks! I would almost go as far as saying they are my favourite! I picked up the shades; Cher 'muted purple' & 1995 'mocha toned nude'. I'd definitely say that Cher had undertones of purple but looks more of a pinky colour and 1995 is more of a burnt red (perfect for autumn!)  I now want to buy every colour. The staying power is amazing, I honestly can't fault it what so ever. It is so soft on the lips and often feels like you aren't wearing anything on them, you almost have to keep checking in the mirror, although it seems to always be perfectly on as if you've just applied it, even after you've had a pizza feast. It lasted on a night out and to me that's perfect and everything you could want in a liquid lipstick. It dries matte super quick but is still quite easy to make small adjustments without it being too stubborn!

Overall I am super happy with what I ordered! I was a little sceptical about the Liquid Lipsticks as I seem to be building up quite a collection but I'm super glad I bought some to try! I'm now looking forward to building up my palette of Makeup Geek eyeshadows!

Have you tried any Makeup Geek Eyeshadows or Gerard Cosmetic Liquid Lipsticks?
