MASSIVE NYX HAUL | Beauty

This NYX haul is so long overdue however I seem to keep adding to my collection. A while back now NYX  launched in a wide range of Boots stores and now a few near me (hurrah!) and oh my I have gone mad! I am in love with this great quality and affordable brand and it is definitely becoming my new favourite! I definitely seem to be going back for new products! This is what I have bought and what makes my collection so far:

Soft Matte Lip Creams £5.50 in the shades; 06 Istanbul, 08 San Paulo, 10 Monte Carlo, 18 Prague, 19 Cannes

NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams £5.50

I LOVE the soft matte lip creams! They are ever so moisturising and very pigmented and also appear matte which is an excellent bonus as I've noticed a lot of lip products don't usually appear matte which can be disappointing but not these! I love the massive selection of colours. Featuring around 26 different shades. They all apply silky and smooth with a matte finish. I wouldn't say they're super long lasting because they're not drying on the lips however that usually isn't a problem. A little top up now and then the same as you would with any usual lipstick should do the trick.

First things first I apologise for the quality of my swatch, it's my first attempt and I really wanted to give it a go! Anyway, above are the colours I chose. As you can see I love my pink shades! Istanbul is definitely the colour I've been reaching for the most, it's described as a 'clean pink' and its just utterly gorgeous! San Paulo is a 'plummy pink' which is slightly brighter than Istanbul but definitely everyday wearable! Monte Carlo is a gorgeous red shade described as 'deep cranberry red' I was so excited for this as I've been looking for a gorgeous red matte shade for quite a well. Next is Prague which is described as 'matte merlot' I would definitely say it appears pink with some purple undertones, I recommend lining your lips before applying! Finally I picked up Cannes 'Muted Mauve' which is similar to the Liquid Suede Soft Spoken (below) however I would say it has more of a orangey nude tone rather than brown. I will definitely be popping by to pick up some more in the near future!

I hadn't heard too much about these although I have definitely had a good look at the gorgeous range of colours! The only thing I was slightly wary about before buying is that these are actually 6ml, larger bottle and higher price at £6.50 rather than the Matte Lip Creams which are 8ml which is more product for a lower price. (Something to perhaps consider when choosing which ones to buy?) Aside from that I love the formula of these! Ever so smooth and moisturising, makes it a pleasure to apply! My favourite thing is how pigmented they are and because they're not quick drying it makes it a lot easier to get rid of any mistakes when applying with no trace left behind! The two colours I picked up were 04 Soft Spoken which is described as a Mauve Nude and for me is the perfect slightly darker nude and then 09 Tea & Cookies which is a muted rose pink. Unfortunately I haven't done any swatches for these two colours.

I've seen the pore filler in Boots several times now and haven't really seen any reviews of it yet so I took a chance and picked one up! I can definitely say I'm in two minds about it. It does an amazing job of smoothing the skin and giving a 'photoshop blurred' effect however when put it on top of foundation or sometimes underneath it makes my foundation look patchy and wear off which I am definitely not loving however I have found that sometimes it's completely fine and works a dream  so I think it takes some persistence and is something which I'm gonna have to keep going back to! I do wonder how well it would work with the NYX Foundation and wonder if it doesn't make that foundation separate.

NYX Slide On Lip Liner: 02 Bed Rose £5.50

My best friend actually bought one of these lip liners and used it all over her lips and it had such great staying power and all round looked amazing so I thought I definitely needed one too! I haven't yet actually tried mine but I'm super excited too! I think it will match many lipsticks I've got if not a great wear alone product!

NYX HD Green Concealer Wand £5.50

I also picked this up as its supposed to reduce the appearance of redness and I feel it definitely works and does what it says however I do find it very drying and not very moisturising so I don't want to use too much at a time. However recently I've been dabbing a little moisturiser onto the back of my hand, mixing the concealer in with a brush and then applying. I've found this makes it a lot easier to go onto the skin without any drying. (Side note: The black writing comes off the packaging of the product almost instantly, you will probably end up with black ink on your hands!)

NYX Eye Shadow Base £5.50: 01 White

After a recommendation from a friend I decided to try the eyeshadow primer base. I picked up the 01 White colour as I wanted to be able to see where I had applied it making it easier when applying eyeshadow. There is also a white pearl colour choice however I found this too glittery. I've never really been one for wearing eyeshadow however recently it is something which I've been bringing into my make up routine and I love it. However I realise how important it is to use a eyeshadow primer first. I can't fault this one at all, you only need a small amount and it really does increase the amount of pigment that you actually get as well as making your eyeshadow long lasting. I'm a unbelievably happy with the results and have been recommending it to everyone! Although it looks like its a small pot, I've been using it for around 2 months and barely made an indent into the product!

I definitely think everything lives up to the huge hype at the moment! I completely recommend trying the Soft Matte Lip Creams if nothing else! The price is just so affordable and amazing for the quality of a drugstore/highstreet products! Have you got your own collection? If so what's your favourite product and colour?
